Gentle Reader – One need not be a dyed in the wool socialist to be encouraged by the latest events in Brazil. The present leader – Bolsinaro – who happily claims to be a right-wing extremist, a SARS-CoV-2-denier, a Climate Emergency-denier, and and who has led his country into a public health disaster, will likely be challenged for the presidency by Luis Ignacio Lula da Silva. For Brazil and for our world, this is a positive event.
